Novant Health Infectious Disease Specialists is the first practice within Novant Health to be recognized as a Level II Patient-Centered Specialty Practice. NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of health care. To earn the PCSP designation, Novant Health Infectious Disease Specialists had to demonstrate commitment to patient-centered care and clinical quality through: streamlined referral processes and care coordination with referring clinicians, timely patient and caregiver-focused care management and continuous clinical quality improvement.
All of our board-certified physicians are active members of the Infectious Disease Society of America. This organization promotes excellence in patient care for patients battling infectious diseases, and is devoted to research and prevention of infectious diseases.
At least once every three years Novant Health Medical Group Forsyth Region practices undergo a rigorous approval process by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). JCAHO is an independent, not-for-profit organization which sets the standards by which healthcare quality is measured in America and around the world. Our practices are among the nearly 16,000 healthcare organizations that JCAHO evaluated for the quality and safety of care.
To maintain and earn accreditation, some practices undergo an extensive on-site review by a team of JCAHO healthcare professionals. The purpose of the review is to evaluate the organization's performance in areas that affect your care. Accreditation may be awarded based on how well the organizations met JCAHO standards.
